on May 31, 2018Mike, in case you're monitoring comments for this image, to answer your question I only very rarely use ND or polarizing filters. Digital technology, whether using multiple image capture techniques, or the high dynamic range of most modern sensors combined with post-processing tools, means that use of filters is rarely necessary these days. I'll occasionally deploy a polarizer if I want to completely remove glare when shooting water.
